WatchLink GSM WL-2 Pod adds powerful GSM/GPRS monitoring and control technology to your product or assets in less space, for less integration time, and at less cost

Using the recently launched java based Nokia 12 GSM/GPRS engine, the WL-2 GSM Pod incorporates all the parts that are necessary to enable you to have a meaningful conversation with your machines and appliances from a remote distance. Because it uses an integrated Java Virtual Machine, there is no need for any external micro controller, thereby speeding application development. All the I/O connections are robust enough for direct interfacing to your equipment and appliances. The WL-2 comes with expansion interfaces to enable you to setup M2M communications for added connectivity over the Internet using wireless bearers such as GPRS. It is available in a DIN rail enclosure or on a pre-drilled base plate.

The WL-2 Pod is ready-to-go for basic I/O applications using your mobile phone. We can pre-program the Pod for your application prior to shipping, if needed. Alternatively, it can be programmed by you after delivery using a PC serial cable and the graphical Configurator software. With Configurator you can easily customize your own I/O configurations in terms of SMS text messages to be received from the unit in the event of alarms and SMS text messages to be sent to the unit to control your equipment. You can of course further develop your own application programs using the Java programming language.

The WatchLink GSM WL-1B base unit can remotely monitor and control various devices over the GSM/GPRS Network using your own mobile phone

The flexible configuration of this powerful unit allows it to be used in a variety of applications including remote sensing of switches, sensors and security devices and also control of equipment such as lights, pumps and actuators. Using the WL-2 GSM Pod as its main GSM/GPRS engine, the WL-1B is housed in a robust waterproof enclosure that integrates user connectors and Mains rated power relays.

The unit can be programmed with its own configuration using an easy to use Windows program. Alarm messages from activated inputs are sent as specific SMS text messages to pre-defined mobile phone numbers and the status of the unit can be interrogated remotely. The high current output Relays can be switched ON or OFF remotely using SMS text messages from authorised mobile phone numbers. The unit employs extensive security features which prevent unauthorised use such as password protection and Auto Pin feature. PrePaid SIM cards can be used for most applications.

The WL-100 is a highly integrated module that includes a sensitive 16 channel GPS receiver and a Bluetooth 1.1 compliant transceiver. The module includes all the supporting circuitry such as power supply, antennae connectors, serial interfaces for configuration and control, I/O and expansion connectors for external products such as the WL-2 GSM/GPRS Pod or other AT command based devices.
